EVENTS: Easter In Port Harcourt Issa Vibe!
There was a time, a long time ago it now seems when seasons like this would come and go without anything tangible happening in the much vaunted Garden City of Nigeria. These days however, I can beat my chest and say PH don wake o (in the famous words of Dr Barz).
Well, that's the situation now. The city and it's inhabitants are 'woke' regardless of any negative narrative being sold from any quarter of the stratosphere. The fact be say, today is Wednesday and by now, Judas don receive alert for him Union Bank plc savings account and on Good Friday, Jesus must be kissed (no be the type awa governor de kiss him wife up and dan o...I'm coming to that matter sef, wait small) and you know the rest of the story.
It's the Easter weekend right ahead of us and like I said in the caption, Easter in PH finna be a vibe! Besides the regular or irregular church events and services that traditionally mark the season, there are quite a handful of events that will take place and gives everybody in every part of the city the opportunity to hang out with friends and family and have a great time. Yes! The city is now safe like that!
I've gotta highlight 2 of them on here that I believe stand out amongst all... Oh, and I'll be reviewing them after they happen of course. So here goes;
CHOW FAIR
Without any shadow of doubt, this is the biggest food festival in Nigeria at the moment and it's put together by Rooshbrown Integrated Services, led by Lucky Brown Wobo, a photographer, philanthropist and foodie.

This being the Second Edition of the food festival is something to be excited about as it promises to provide every form of entertainment from dance and comedy to musical performances and of course the main event being food, food and much more food!
Kicking off at noon on Saturday, 20th April and climaxing on Easter Sunday at the Azny place on Chief Luis Drive, GRA phase 2, Chow Fair serves up the right atmosphere for the young and upwardly mobile to eat, laugh and connect. It is the perfect environment to work out all the accumulated stress from this political krinkum krankum that we have just finished.
The variety served up at Chow Fair is quite vast as there are many vendors to patronize and the line up of performances is also lit! Anchored by the monster, Speech D Lutherking, and featuring the likes of dancehall king Sotiee, Larry MacSuku, super afrobeat artistes Victex & Prinx Emmanuel, the sonorous voices of Delia, Kiienka & Beauty Eru, cross over artiste King Giddy Up and much more... Just brace yourselves and get ready to feel the vibe this weekend!
HAKARAT EASTER TRADE FAIR & MUSIC FESTIVAL
The first ever of its kind being put together by Hakarat Mall, an all encompassing entertainment hub, bakery and shopping mall located on Obi Wali Rd, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt.
A business that is a little over a year old and taking giant strides in influencing it's immediate environs and the city at large plays host to all and sundry with this mouth watering event that will not just feature music, food and fun but large scale discount sales on clothing, hair extensions and products as well as fashion accessories for all classes and gender.
It’s a combination of a Trade Fair, Art exhibition and Fashion show laced with performances from the incredible duo Ajebo Hustlers Gang, the Supreme lyricist Dr Barz, the song bird Delia, DJ Joan on the wheels of steel, Eric Atasia and so many more spanning three days while the Trade Fair goes on as different vendors showcase their wares at discounted prices all at the same venue.
The event kicks off at 9am on the 19th of April with the Easter Festival Mega Jam night happening that same evening and climaxes on Sunday with all the major entertainers storming the stage for the Easter Family Party.
There will be a Children's Play station with trained minders, security and everything to make you comfortable.
Get set to attend as the Venue is Hakarat Mall. No 252 Obi Wali Road , Rumuigbo Portharcourt.
Like I said earlier on this post, PH don wake o... This is the right time and right place to invest and publicise your business and brands.
